This week was very exciting! We learned about pumpkins, how to compare and contrast and had some Halloween fun! A lot happened during our free play as well. Everyone got to learn what was inside a pumpkin and explore more of our other activities around the classroom. On Thursday all the preschoolers came in their awesome costumes! Seeing everyone's costume was such a delight! But besides all of that, the preschoolers got to participate in an awesome activity that Mrs.Anne set up. We asked the kids, "Which liquid will melt our candy corn?" Everyone had the opportunity to make a guess about which liquid would melt the candy corn! Throughout the day, our preschoolers were observing the changes in the different jars. Some of their observations included: "This one's losing it's skin" "These candies look yucky." "This one's not doing anything!", and "I was right!!!" It was a really fun experiment and a neat way to make predictions and then observe the results. The ending result was both water and soda pop melted the candy corn, how neat is that! The best part of the day was getting to trick or treat around the school!
