Dino week started off with some show and tell. Both Kent and Miles had fun things to share with us! UPDATE!!!! A baby chick hatched! So far only one has hatched but its been super exciting to see our class chick! What's next? Picking a name!! Here is a picture of Taylor and Daphne meeting our new friend! After an exciting day of free play we went on to our circle time and group art activities but first we still need to pick a name for our baby chick! This is what our preschoolers came up with! I wonder which name they will choose! For music we learned a new fun dinosaur dance! On Wednesday Lily brought her special Elsa to share with everyone! Some highlights of the day!! Dancing to a new song! Outside in the hallway we wanted to show the preschoolers how big dinosaurs could be! So we measured using ourselves to get a visual of how big some really are! After measuring, we wrote on our results on our measuring sheets! Group art was all about making our own dinosaurs hatching through their egg! We drew our own zig zag lines on our egg and cut along our lines so that our dino baby could "hatch!"

We began the week learning about animals and their habitats! This week is really exciting because it leads up to our baby chicks hatching and a visit from the reptile man! Many other fun activities took place during our free time! Here are some fun pictures of the day! Our box cartons are back for more building! This time instead of building castles or homes the preschoolers got to construct animal habitats with teacher Terri. The fun part about this is the kids got to test out these cool homes themselves! Group art was super fun as well! This activity was about making snakes! The preschoolers got to use paper plates and used sponges to add paint on their plate. Afterwards they were cut out and twirled around branches to hang around our classroom and in the hallway! We had a special visiter on Tuesday too! Not just any special visiter, but a special animal visiter! Daniel and his mom brought in their new pet guinea pig, Mud Pie! Thanks for visiting! Taylor talked to us about the book she read over the weekend! Free Play Adventures! Now the moment we have been waiting for… The reptile man has finally arrived!! Check out the great pictures that were captured! Last Field Trip Of The Year!! The Reptile Man!!!
