What a wonderful halloween week we had! Our skill this week was textures, and the week was full of feeling things and comparing different textures, as well as making a lot of spooky art, halloween inspired stories, and much more! Special thanks to the staff here at Century who never fail to join in the fun and welcomed our class as they trick or treated around the school. Just some of our Halloween inspired activities this week... Trick or Treat!!

Is following a recipe with 20 preschoolers crazy? YES!! But we did it, and I must say that it turned out great! The class was divided into three large tables, and the children all took turns doing their part of the recipe. Everyone got a turn to stir at the end, and then scooped the batter into their soup cans, which where then wisked off to the culinary kitchens to bake. Here is a peek at the organized madness... Step 1: Feeling and smelling the ingredients Step 2: Measuring and adding the ingredients to the bowl Step 3: Stir, stir, stir! Unfortunately, we did not get pictures of the finished products....but you all saw how they turned out and it sounds like it was a big hit! The recipe will be sent out shortly....
