I want to wish all of our Little Jags families a happy and peaceful holiday season. I hope that you are able to enjoy your family and traditions in the comfort of your safe spaces this year. I can't help reflecting on the past year and finding myself a little in disbelief that it has been that long and all that has occurred in what seems like such a short time. I am feeling very hopeful for the future and will have some enrollment information included at the very end of this special post. This post will not include a weekly menu, as we posted a few extra activities on last week's menu to hopefully keep you all busy. However, I will be introducing a new activity that you can feel free to run with in a variety of ways! Happy Holidays and wishing you all a bright 2021! Fine Motor Journals
How does it work? The great thing about these journals, is that there are SO many ways that you can use them. I will give some suggestions, but I encourage you to make it your own! 1. Get a wide ruled composition book, spiral notebook or other bound journal type book. You want lined paper preferably so that preschoolers become introduced to that. You can absolutely get the half blank and half lined journals as well. 2. Let your preschooler decorate the cover, or create a cover for them. 3. Create your fine motor activities for your child to do on their own! Always date the pages so that you can track their progress. Or at the very least, just keep each new activity in order in the notebook. 4. Be sure to mix up the activities. Don't just stick to writing letters, but use sticker activities, tape, coloring, or other fine motor skills. This website has many ideas for you. Additionally, you can simply do an internet search for "Fine Motor Journals" and you will find plenty of ideas to keep your preschooler busy. Here are just a few: I hope that these will be a helpful tool for those of you trying to do preschool at home. Have fun!! Story Corner
Enrollment Information for 2021As I mentioned before, we will be pushing our enrollment date out to April this year, in hopes that we might have a better idea about what next year might be like prior to families committing to enrollment. I will update our preschool enrollment page as well, but wanted to let you know a few things:
1. All families signed up from last year can keep their spot for the 2021-22 school year if they would like it. 2. Any families retaining their spot will NOT need to include another deposit. Your deposit from last year will carry over. 3. The priority enrollment process will begin on Monday, April 5th and will continue until Friday, April 30th. Any current families planning to retain their spot for next year will want to submit their priority enrollment request by that date. I will send out that information the week prior to the 5th. 4. All information regarding the class schedule: days of week, hours, etc., as well as tuition rates may not be available at the time of enrollment, which is similar to past years as well. As soon as I know that information, I will pass it on. You can look at the enrollment page on our website for the most current information on tuition, but understand that those rates may go up depending on class size or other increased costs. Please feel free to email me with any questions!
