Enrollment Information for 2025-26:
Upcoming Open House - Changed to Wednesday, February 5th from 4-6pm
We will host an open house for the community and waitlist families interested in the 2025-26 school year on January 22nd, prior to the start of our enrollment process. If you are interested in information about our program or a virtual classroom tour, you can access that open house presentation information HERE at any time! The open house will be an opportunity to visit the physical classroom, meet the teachers, ask questions, and decide whether the program is a good fit for you. Enrollment will begin after the open house. You will be emailed an invitation to accept a spot, or to let you know that we were unable to fit you in. If you are offered a spot, you will need to accept or decline within 48 hours so that we can move on to other families.

Enrollment Requirements:
1. Children must be age 3 or 4 by September 1st of the school year enrolling. We have a 3's class and a 4's class, so children will be placed in the class that fits their age for that school year. That means that a child turning 4 on September 7th would still go into the 3's class that year. This is to stay in line with the elementary school requirements.
2. Children must be fully potty trained upon starting school. This can be tricky as you are possibly enrolling without being quite there yet. We do expect that children will have occasional accidents here or there, so don't stress about that if they are pretty few and far between. However, children must be able to identify when they need to go and be self sufficient in the bathroom (getting clothes on and off, wiping, etc). Just keep working at it and keep me posted if you are worried.
Enrollment Timeline:
CHS staff, as well as Little Jags current and past families all have priority enrollment. This means that they have the option of obtaining a spot in next year's class before the remaining spots are opened up to the waiting list.
Community Enrollment:
After priority enrollment is complete, families will be contacted via the email provided from the waiting list. If you receive an email offering you a spot in the preschool, please accept or decline within 48 hours. Check your email frequently to ensure you don't miss out! Families who we were unable to offer a spot to will also receive an email and may choose to remain on the list in case of further openings, or be removed from the list.
Schedule:
The schedule for next year cannot be fully determined until High School Forecasting is complete at the end of our school year. As soon as we know the high school schedule, then we can determine the preschool schedule. Tuition will be based on number of hours served per week. Changes in hours or days from one year to the next is normal and should be expected from our enrolling families, and is not a valid reason for a return of your enrollment deposit. This is an unavoidable part of a lab school preschool program and deposits are non-refundable.
Most Likely Schedule (based on the past few years' schedule):
4's class: M,W,F from 9:15 - 1:15 (4 hours per day)
3's class: T,TH from 9:15 - 1:15 (4 hours per day)
Tuition:
Tuition can change yearly, depending on our hourly and daily schedule, as well as annual salary increases for our staff. For this year's class, which is the schedule shown above, the 4's class tuition is $225/month and the 3's class tuition is $150/month. This is subject to change depending on staffing hours and salary schedule increases.
Our goal with tuition funds is always to provide an amazing preschool program to our community families at an affordable rate. We also must ensure the sustainability of the standards that we have set for ourselves, which includes meeting the salary schedule designated by HSD for our amazing PK teachers, supplying quality, engaging and safe materials, professional development and training opportunities, and planning for future improvements and equipment/furniture replacements as they come up.

Enrollment Timeline:
- Enrollment will begin with Priority Enrollment of currently enrolled families and Century staff in the month of January, as well as our Open House for all interested families.
- Priority enrollment completes at the end of January. Enrollment for remaining spots will then come from our community waiting list starting in early February, where we will fill spots directly from the list. Families can expect an email from me to invite you to join our class. We will need a response within 48 hours, after which we will move down the list to offer spots to other families. Once the class is full, ALL families will be notified so that you know enrollment is complete. This process typically takes 2-3 weeks to finalize, but can take longer depending on response time.
- We do request a $50.00 non-refundable processing fee to commit to your spot once families are set up into Brightwheel. This deposit is only paid after you have accepted a spot and want to be processed as part of the class. It is not a part of our tuition in the fall, as it is solely for the purpose of the admissions process, and would not be refunded should you decide to give up your spot for any reason.
- You will not complete any enrollment forms until late in summer or September.

- Tuition is paid monthly online through the Brightwheel app, which we use for secure payments, communication, and documentation.
- Field trip fees are a separate cost for families and vary depending on the cost of the trip. These fees are required for children attending any field trip experiences, which are all optional. These may include trips such as the Pumpkin Patch, OMSI, a trip to the local bowling alley or an in class visit from a special guest ( i.e. the Reptile Man). If you do not want your child to attend field trips, then you are not required to pay this fee, but your child will have to miss these days if scheduled on a preschool day. Note: We have not done field trips in a couple of years due to Covid and bussing shortages.
