For this week of preschool we learned about ponds and frogs! Mrs. Anne introduced the kids to beavers and what kind of homes they live in, which are called lodges! At the art table, there was a fun activity where the preschoolers got to build their very own lodges!
At the science table the preschoolers got to learn the life cycle of a frog and they got to sequence which order they develop and grow!
Outside of the classroom, the kids got to roll a dice and whatever number it landed on they would jump to the lily pads until they got to the number they rolled!
For this weeks' color detective, Caleb brought in a few different things! Can you guess what color he was searching for at home?
If you guessed green then you were right! Who know there could be so many different objects that are green. Now we get to add one thing Caleb brought to our color wall!
Lily was our weather reporter this week and she got to tell us what the weather was like.
For group art the kids got to cut out lily pads which are what frogs and many pond bugs like to sit on in the pond! For this lily pad, we made dragonflies!
On Wednesday, the preschoolers went on their last field trip of the year with only our high school seniors! This field trip is special for our seniors and preschoolers because the majority of the seniors have been with our preschoolers for already two years and get to interact one on one with our preschoolers. This years senior field trip was at.... the Bowling Alley!! Here are some highlights of the day!
One fun aspect of this field trip was that the bowling alley was so close to preschool, instead of taking the bus we all walked there!
Once we reached our destination, everyone began to bowl and have a great time!
