Wow, what an amazing week! We really enjoyed the warm sunny weather (WE GOT TO PLAY OUTSIDE!) and learning all about ponds and frogs. Learning and DiscoveryWe had some exciting group activities this week.We got to make counting flashcards! Each preschooler cut out numbers and then matched them with an amount of frogs. They took them home so that they can practice their numbers everyday! We also made turtle shells by gluing different colored shapes on our paper in a pattern, and then got to wear it on their back! Action Packed FunOn Tuesday and Wednesday, it was so nice and sunny that we got to play outside with all our high school friends! We hula hooped, bounced balls, rode bikes, played tag, and so much more! Free TimeWow we had some fabulous table activities this week! We had a fun obstacle race, but we were turtles! We also made ducks, and glued feathers on them- so cute! We practiced our numbers by gluing sequins on frogs, and then counting how many "Flies" each frog ate. We also practiced our counting and color sorting. We also got to play beanbag toss, but we were tossing the beanbags into the animal's mouths! We also got to make frogs and practice coloring them. We also got to learn about, write, and label the parts of a duck. On Thursday we got to have not just one fire drill, but three! The fresh air was... refreshing. Luckily we still had time for some fun activities. We played "Letter Bingo" and had to find all the letters on our paper. But all the letters were hidden in a giant bin full of Orbeez! We also went searching for letters in a fish bowl to spell pond themed words- like "Duck" "Frog" and "Lily Pad." In addition, we practiced our letter sequencing by lining up the number of ducks, frogs, and fish. Candid MomentsBirthdays!Happy Birthday to all our March birthdays... which just happens to be Rian! Thanks for the Cupcakes! As you can tell, they were very tasty :)
