This week we learned about how we keep ourselves healthy! We practiced brushing and flossing teeth, identified healthy and unhealthy foods, and talked about healthy bones and what we do when we go to the doctor! We also began our canned food drive, and have been graphing our food donations. Great job everyone for collecting food for others in need. Our food drive ends on Dec. 9th, so keep it up! Take a look at our fun and exciting week!
At the tables this week we had the opportunity to learn how to floss and brush teeth, measure and weigh the baby doll "patients", and create art using a tooth brush! We learned that flossing and brushing keeps our teeth clean and healthy before our adult ones come in!
During our group activities with our friends we got to explore our 5 senses! We tasted different foods such as peas and jicama, we felt different textures, guessed sounds that we heard on the Ipad, smelled a variety of kitchen smells, and tested our vision with our giant eye chart poster! Did you see our "My 5 Senses" book?
Lots of fun during free play, playing ponies with our friends, discovering at the sensory table and painting at the easel!
Thank you everyone for an amazing first week back from break! Lets continue to eat healthy and start some healthy habits such as flossing! Here is an activity anyone can do at home to continue the learning!
