Welcome to sand and sea week where we learned many things about the beach and ocean, and the creatures that live there! We also have been completing all of our end of the year assessments. We are getting closer to the end of the year but we are still learning lots - so take a look at the fun and exciting week we had! Circle TimeMiss Anne read us a book called, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell. The challenge with this story time is that after we finished listening to the story, our preschoolers had to see if they could remember the order of the items that the old lady swallowed. It was a pretty tough recall challenge! See below... Group ActivityOur preschoolers cut out the items in the story, and had to place them in the order that they could recall from the story. A couple of items were given to them on their paper to help. Free PlayWe explored with the moon sand at the sensory table and built many sand castles! We also have our tent still up so many of us played in there with our friends! Hallway ActivityWe got to play beach volleyball out in the hallway how fun!! Table ActivitiesDuring our table activities throughout the week, we listened to sea shells to hear the waves of the ocean and explored their features, created a "message in a bottle" project, made a starfish using fruit loops, counted and added fish using goldfish crackers, practiced spelling words by feeding a shark, made wiggly jellyfish, and learned many news words relating to sand and sea! Thank you everyone for a great week and we will continue to learn about sand and sea next for our last week of preschool before graduation! We hope you have an awesome week! Rainy Day Activity
