Last Week the preschoolers learned all about different animal habitats. They learned how different animals live in different environments and they saw this first hand when they visited the zoo in the beginning of the week! Which nest is best?! The preschoolers looked at a book about how birds build nests with Teacher Adara. She talked about materials that might be cozy in a nest. Then they built nests out of recycled materials in small groups. During free play, the preschoolers tested out each nest and then voted on the coziest one! A polar bear group art this week was a fine motor marathon, with detailed cutting, tearing and pulling apart cotton balls, and gluing. These kids have really developed some amazing cutting skills!
