Every child picked a white flower of their choice, and then decided which color of water to place it in. Most popular color choice? PINK!
Blue and green were the fastest changing of the colors, while pink and orange have been changing slower. This is after just one night! What a neat way to observe how flowers drink water!
What a fun week this was in preschool! I love Garden week because it opens up so many opportunities for discovery and exploring. Some of the things we covered this week included what kinds of things you would find in a garden, categorizing items in a garden, the parts of a plant, garden statues and how to pose like one, observing how plants drink water, and making tons and tons of flower activities....with our extra days this week also, we are literally swimming in flowers.
