For our second half of the school year we switched up our morning and afternoon schedule. We started the day with a morning circle time and went right into free play! This gives our high school teachers in our two different periods an opportunity to experience and teach different things. Many of the kids got to try out different careers like construction workers and doctors. After morning free play, the kids got to do their group art activity! Once group art was finished the kids enjoyed a fun activity with Mrs. Anne that involved a lot of movement! Pretty soon, everyone was "stop, dropping, and rolling!" All the moving around, walking, jumping, and landing on the ground made our preschoolers a bit tired so what better way to relax and settle back down then a nice book to read. Everyone got super comfortable! Going into our second day of preschool this week we got some pictures of the kids signing in and a neat thing about this is we can really see the progession of the preschoolers from the first day to now. Many of them have gotten very good at writing letters and their name. We still have a few months to keep practicing their writing skills! During free play Miles, Jack and Teacher AJ were displaying cooperative play when building these tower of blocks! Of course it would be the tallest tower if it wasn't knocked over! For the rest of free play, the preschoolers got to play a bean bag phone number game to practice gross motor skills, and learn more about careers! After all that fun who doesn't enjoy a good lunch? Our preschoolers sure do love to munch and have conversations with their friends! For the last part of our day we asked our preschoolers what they wanted to be when they were older. Their responses were priceless! Just see for yourself!!
